To advance to the championship game, Gim won 7-3 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2023 KIOTI National in Pictou County, Nova Scotia; and won 9-3 over Stefania Constantini (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 KIOTI National in Pictou County, Nova Scotia;
 
Gim finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gim defeated Delaney Strouse (Traverse City, MI) 12-4, then won 6-5 against Tirinzoni and 4-1 against Constantini. Gim won 6-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KIOTI National Championship title, Gim earned 75.000 world rankings points along with the $42,000CDN first prize cheque. Gim move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 36.296 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 2nd overall with 387.312 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Gim ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 232.500 points earned so far this season.
