John Shuster (Duluth , MN) qualified for the 2023 Soo Curlers Fall Classic presented by KIOTI Tractors playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-5 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON). of the 2023 Soo Curlers Fall Classic presented by KIOTI Tractors in Sault Ste.Marie, Ontario, Canada;

Shuster finished 3-2 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster lost 7-6 to Sandy MacEwan (Sudbury, NO), droppimg another game, 8-3 to Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) where Shuster responded with a 6-0 win over Connor Simms (Sault Ste Marie, ON). Shuster won 7-0 against Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, NO), then won 7-0 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Shuster earned 12.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Soo Curlers Fall Classic presented by KIOTI Tractors. Shuster move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 8.25 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 18th overall with 167.844 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
