Forsythe3-5 at 2023 New Holland Canadian Junior Championship

Melodie Forsythe (Fredericton, NB) finished 3-5 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Forsythe lost 8-7 to Sophie Blades (Chester, NS), droppimg another game, 6-3 to Mackenzie Mitchell (St.John's, NL) where Forsythe responded with a 8-2 win over Reese Wainman (Inuvik, NT). Forsythe won 9-5 against Jenna Campbell (Fredericton, NB). Forsythe went on to lose 5-4 against Anne Sophie Gionest (Alma, QC). Forsythe responded with a 8-6 win over Grace Beaudry (Winnipeg, MB). Forsythe went on to lose 11-7 against Ella Lenentine (Cornwall, PEI). Forsythe lost 8-3 to Tori Zemmelink (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Forsythe earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 35 of the event schedule, Forsythe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Forsythe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
