Takumi Hasegawa (Tokyo, JPN) won 6-3 over Chikara Segawa (Morioka, JPN) in the Final of the Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup, held June 15 - 16, 2024 in Morioka, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Hasegawa won 6-2 over Daiki Shikano (Tokyo, JPN) in the semifinals
 
Hasegawa finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasegawa lost 6-3 to Kaito Fujii (Karuizawa, JPN), then responded with a 7-3 win over Kouki Tonuma (Tokyo, JPN). Hasegawa won 4-3 against Kotaro Noguchi (Miyagi, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup Championship title, Hasegawa earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 1 of the event schedule, Hasegawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hasegawa ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
