Paetz/Michael won 11-0 against Sarah Schaar/Michael Bugnon (Flims, SUI), then won 8-5 against Daniela Rupp/Kevin Wunderlin (Zug, SUI). Paetz/Michael went on to lose 8-5 against Jenny Perret/Martin Rios (Glarus, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swiss Mixed Doubles Championship, Paetz/Michael take home 22.000 world rankings points.
