In their opening game, Nobert lost 7-2 to Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB), then responded with a 6-3 win over Danny Sherrard (Edmonton, AB). Nobert went on to lose 5-0 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI). Nobert responded with a 7-6 win over Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL). Nobert went on to lose 6-1 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Nobert earned 4.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 149th place overall with 18.219 total points. Nobert ranks 70th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.125 points earned so far this season.
