Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) qualified for the 2024 Astec Safety Challenge playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-1 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). of the 2024 Astec Safety Challenge in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada;

Edin finished 3-0 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Carl deConinck Smith (Fox Valley, SK) 5-4, then won 7-5 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) and 4-3 against Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Edin earned 21.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Astec Safety Challenge, remaining in 6th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 6.125 after improving upon their best so far this season.
