Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB) qualified for the 2024 Astec Safety Challenge playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-5 against Bruce Mouat (STIRLING, SCO).
 
Bottcher finished 3-2 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher lost 6-2 to Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB), droppimg another game, 8-5 to Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) where Bottcher responded with a 6-4 win over Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL). Bottcher won 7-1 against Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK), then won 7-4 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Bottcher earned 21.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Astec Safety Challenge. For week 25 of the event schedule, Bottcher did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 2nd place on the World Ranking Standings with 387.250 total points. Bottcher ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 296.750 points earned so far this season.
