Steep finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Steep defeated Bryan Cochrane (Russell, ON) 7-4, then won 7-5 against Jaimee Gardner (Ottawa, ON) and 10-1 against Laura Johnston (North Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Capital Curling Valley Open, Steep take home 2.750 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, remaining in 75th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 0.5 after improving upon their best so far this season.
