Sam Steep (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) qualified for the 2023 Summer Series playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-2 against Yannick Martel (Saguenay, QC). of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec;

Steep finished 3-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Steep defeated John Epping (Toronto, ON) 6-2, then went on to lose 8-0 against Jean-Michel Arsenault (Levis, QC). Steep responded with a 10-0 win over Martel. Steep won 8-2 against Stephane Michaud (Saguenay, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

Steep earned 7.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Summer Series, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 56.675 total points. Steep ranks 34th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.500 points earned so far this season.
