To advance to the championship game, Black won 7-3 over Laurie St-Georges (Montreal, QC) in the semifinals of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec; and won 5-3 over Lauren Mann (Timmins, NONT) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec;

Black finished 3-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Black defeated Kelsey Boyd (Montreal, QC) 7-1, then won 6-4 against Lauren Horton (Montreal, QC) and 8-4 against Leanne Fortin (Saguenay, QC). Black went on to lose 9-5 against Inglis in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Summer Series, Black take home 19.250 world rankings points along with the $3,500CDN prize.
