Lotta Immonen/Markus Sipila (Espoo, FIN) finished 4-2 in the 4-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Immonen/Sipila defeated Miia Ahrenberg/Esa Kejonen (Turku, FIN) 11-8, then went on to lose 9-5 against Elina Virtaala/Ville Forsstrom (Joensuu, FIN). Immonen/Sipila lost 12-6 to Susanna Santti/Iikko Santti (Tampere, FIN) where Immonen/Sipila responded with a 9-8 win over Ahrenberg/Kejonen. Immonen/Sipila won 7-2 against Virtaala/Forsstrom, then won 8-7 against Santti/Santti in their final qualifying round match.

Immonen/Sipila earned 7.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 9 of the event schedule, Immonen/Sipila did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Immonen/Sipila ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
