Marlee Powers/Luke Saunders (Halifax, NS) lost 8-5 to Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS) in the Final of the Manitoba Mixed Doubles Curling Tour Championship, held April 7 - 9, 2023 in Morris, Manitoba. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Powers/Saunders won 6-5 over Dawn McEwen/Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the championship game. of the 2023 Manitoba Mixed Doubles Curling Tour Championship in Morris, Manitoba;

Powers/Saunders finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Powers/Saunders defeated Mikaylah Lyburn/Rylan Campbell (Winnipeg, MB) 8-1, then won 8-5 against Katie McKenzie/Thomas Dunlop (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-5 against Sherry Just/Chad Gareau (Winnipeg, MB). Powers/Saunders won 7-3 against Manitoba's Sarah-Jane Sass/Lucas Van Den Bosch, then won 7-5 against Chaelynn Kitz/Brayden Stewart (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Manitoba Mixed Doubles Curling Tour Championship, Powers/Saunders take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $800CDN prize. For week 36 of the event schedule, Powers/Saunders did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Powers/Saunders ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
