Joel Westerberg (Westerberg, SWE) lost 8-7 to Simon Granbom (Granit, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish Eliteserien, held January 6 - March 12, 2023 in Ostersund / Jonkoping, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Westerberg won 7-6 over Fredrik Nyman (Solleftea, SWE) in the semifinals

Westerberg finished 7-4 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Westerberg defeated Fredrik Julius (Sundbybergs, SWE) 9-3, then went on to lose 8-4 against Granbom. Westerberg lost 7-6 to Gert Precenth (Mjolby, SWE). Westerberg lost 11-3 to Nyman where Westerberg responded with a 7-6 win over 's Axel Landelius. Westerberg went on to lose 4-3 against Mats Nyberg (Danderyds, SWE). Westerberg responded with a 7-3 win over Mats Mabergs (Malung, SWE). Westerberg won 9-4 against Michael Roxin (Linkoping, SWE), then won 6-3 against Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE) and 5-3 against 's Nicklas Soderberg. Westerberg won 15-3 against Axel Rosander (Norrkoping, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swedish Eliteserien, Westerberg take home 8.250 world rankings points. For week 32 of the event schedule, Westerberg did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Westerberg ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
