In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Ryan Parent (Calgary, AB) 8-1, then won 7-2 against Sam Steep (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) and 7-4 against Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB). Mooibroek won 9-0 against Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK), then won 8-3 against Kleiter in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the U25 NextGen Classic, Mooibroek take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 29th place overall with 135.875 total points.
