Abby Marks (Edmonton, AB) lost 7-3 to Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the U25 NextGen Classic, held August 29 - September 2, 2023 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Marks won 9-2 over Mackenzie Kiemele (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals
 
Marks finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marks defeated Paige Bown (Navan, ON) 10-4, then won 4-3 against Tori Zemmelink (Guelph, ON) and 7-3 against Myla Plett (Sherwood Park, AB). Marks went on to lose 6-5 against Jessica Wytrychowski (Edmonton, AB). Marks lost 7-5 to Isabelle Ladouceur (Whitby, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the U25 NextGen Classic, Marks take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 40th place overall with 80.907 total points. Marks ranks 9th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 22.813 points earned so far this season.
