Oihane Otaegi (San Sebastian, ESP) finished 4-5 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Otaegi lost 7-6 to Martine Roenning (Lillehammer, NOR), droppimg another game, 8-7 to Briar Schwaller (Bern, SUI) where Otaegi responded with a 9-3 win over Lina Opel (Kent, ENG). Otaegi won 7-6 against Pia-Lisa Schoell (Fuessen, GER). Otaegi went on to lose 11-2 against Therese Westman (Stockholm, SWE). Otaegi lost 10-4 to Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR) where Otaegi responded with a 7-5 win over Hannah Augustin (Kitzbuehel, AUT). Otaegi went on to lose 7-5 against Chiaki Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN). Otaegi responded with a 9-8 win over Cory Thiesse (Duluth, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

Otaegi earned 16.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 39 of the event schedule, Otaegi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Otaegi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
