Fujisawa won 6-3 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE), then won 7-4 against Verena Pfluegler (Kitzbuehel, AUT) and 7-2 against Liisa Turmann (Tallinn, EST). Fujisawa won 4-2 against Stefania Constantini (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Fujisawa went on to lose 6-5 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Sun City Cup, Fujisawa take home 22.000 world rankings points along with the $1,565CDN prize, remaining in 10th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 14.5 after improving upon their best so far this season. Fujisawa ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 202.500 points earned so far this season.
