Jones/Laing Reaches 2023 Mixed Doubles Super Series

Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Barrie, ON) qualified for the 2023 Mixed Doubles Super Series - Moose Jaw playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-6 against Tori Koana/Go Aoki (Karuizawa, JPN).

Jones/Laing finished 3-2 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones/Laing defeated Stephanie Todd/Kyle Cherpin (Regina, SK) 12-1, then won 6-3 against Sherry Just/Chad Gareau (Prince Albert, SK). Jones/Laing went on to lose 10-4 against Jennifer Armstrong/Tyrel Griffith (Kelowna, BC). Jones/Laing responded with a 6-2 win over Brett Barber/Mitch Heidt (Kerrobert, SK). Jones/Laing went on to lose 6-1 against Koana/Aoki in their final qualifying round match.

Jones/Laing earned 13.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Moose Jaw, remaining in 806th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -13.766 after improving upon their best so far this season. Jones/Laing ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 28.626 points earned so far this season.
