Kim/Jeong Reaches 2023 Mixed Doubles Super Series

Jiyoon Kim/ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) qualified for the 2023 Mixed Doubles Super Series - Oakville playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-7 against Cory Thiesse/Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN).

Kim/Jeong finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim/Jeong defeated Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Stouffville, ON) 8-0, then won 7-6 against Casandra Spruit/Geoff Spruit (Winchester, ON) and 8-6 against Laura Walker/Kirk Muyres (Edmonton, AB). Kim/Jeong went on to lose 7-3 against Tori Koana/Go Aoki (Karuizawa, JPN). Kim/Jeong lost 6-5 to Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Kim/Jeong earned 21.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Oakville, remaining in 806th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 12.344 after improving upon their best so far this season. Kim/Jeong ranks 27th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 40.126 points earned so far this season.
