Roenning/Braenden finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roenning/Braenden defeated Sarah Chaytor/David McCurdy (Halifax, NS) 6-3, then won 6-5 against Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) and 10-2 against Karlee Burgess/Jacques Gauthier (Winnipeg, MB).
