CHAMPION: Skaslien/Nedregotten Wins 2023 ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz

Kristin Moen Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten (Oslo, NOR) won 10-4 over Karoliine Kaare/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) in the Final of the ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz, held November 9 - 12, 2023 at the Curling Lodz in Lodz, Poland. To advance to the championship game, Skaslien/Nedregotten won 12-10 over Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Stockholm, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2023 ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz in Lodz, Poland; and won 9-0 over Katarzyna Grzelka/Aleksander Grzelka (Lodz, POL) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz in Lodz, Poland;

Skaslien/Nedregotten finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skaslien/Nedregotten defeated Lea Hueppi/Jonas Weiss (Dubendorf, SUI) 10-4, then won 9-6 against Martina Horakova/Tomas Horak (Prague, CZE) and 9-2 against Kaare/Lill. Skaslien/Nedregotten won 8-1 against Marietta Dabrowska/Lukasz Tomaszek (Swidnica, POL), then won 7-4 against Elzbieta Wojtowicz/Grzegorz Szczesny (Lodz, POL) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz Championship title, Skaslien/Nedregotten earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $2,689CDN first prize cheque. For week 16 of the event schedule, Skaslien/Nedregotten did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 11th to 12th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 106.408 total points. Skaslien/Nedregotten ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.500 points earned so far this season.
