Matt Lukas (Vaduz, LIE) lost 10-2 to Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR) in the Final of the European Curling Championships C-Division, held April 29 - May 6, 2023 in Dumfries, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Lukas won 5-4 over Konrad Stych (Lodz, POL) in the semifinals

Lukas are currently 3-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lukas defeated Alexandros Arampatzis (Athens, GRE) 11-6, then went on to lose 6-3 against Gabor Bor Zelinka (Ljubljana, SLO). Lukas responded with a 9-5 win over Giorgi Jeiranashvili (Tbilisi, GEO). Lukas went on to lose 14-0 against Nikolov. Lukas responded with a 9-8 win over Josep Garcia (Andorra, AND). Lukas went on to lose 7-4 against Stych. In their next game, Lukas plays.

With their runner-up finish at the European Curling Championships C-Division, Lukas take home 5.500 world rankings points. For week 40 of the event schedule, Lukas did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Lukas ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
