Anderson/Richardson finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Anderson/Richardson defeated Emily Schweitzer/Blake Hagberg (Minneapolis, MN) 10-1, then won 7-1 against Julie Benson/Bret Jackson (Northville, MI) and 10-0 against Vanessa Williams/Tom Straub (Nashville, TN, TN). Anderson/Richardson won 10-3 against Gabrielle Coleman/Connor Robertson (San Francisco , CA), then won 7-5 against Renee Sobering/Darryl Sobering (Denver, CO) in their final qualifying round match.
