David Sik (Prague, CZE) finished 2-3 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sik defeated
Konrad Stych (Warsaw, POL) 7-6, then went on to lose 7-1 against Switzerland's Andrin Schnider. Sik lost 6-1 to Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB). Sik lost 5-4 to Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) where Sik responded with a 8-4 win over Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Sik earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 16 of the event schedule, Sik did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sik ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
