Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) lost 6-5 to Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Sentinel Storage Alberta Scotties, held January 23 - 28, 2024 in St. Paul, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Skrlik won 9-8 over Serena Gray-Withers (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2024 Sentinel Storage Alberta Scotties in St. Paul, Alberta;

Skrlik finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skrlik defeated Nicky Kaufman (Edmonron, AB) 11-4, then went on to lose 9-4 against Gracelyn Richards (Edmonton, AB). Skrlik responded with a 7-3 win over Michelle Hartwell (Sherwood Park, AB). Skrlik won 8-7 against Sturmay, then won 7-3 against Jodi Vaughan (Lethbridge, AB). Skrlik went on to lose 9-5 against Gray-Withers. Skrlik lost 9-8 to Jessie Hunkin (Spruce Grove, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Sentinel Storage Alberta Scotties, Skrlik take home 16.500 world rankings points. Skrlik move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 12.375 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 26th overall with 145.125 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
