Dragana Bajkanovic (Stirling, SCO) 13-1, then went on to lose 8-3 against 's Elizaveta Trukhina. Szabo responded with a 13-1 win over Olivera Momcilovic (Belgrade, SRB). Szabo went on to lose 9-7 against Dena Rosenberry (Denver, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Szabo earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
