Kyle Waddell (Hamilton, SCO) qualified for the 2023 Insitu Players Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-3 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). of the 2023 Insitu Players Open in Dundas, Ontario, Canada;

Waddell finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Waddell defeated Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) 5-4, then won 6-4 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI) and 6-4 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Waddell went on to lose 9-4 against Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK). Waddell responded with a 5-3 win over Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Waddell earned 21.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Insitu Players Open, remaining in 35th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 4.5 after improving upon their best so far this season.
