6-3 to Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA), then responded with a 8-6 win over ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR). Whyte went on to lose 9-3 against Cameron Bryce (Border, SCO). Whyte lost 8-6 to Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON) where Whyte responded with a 10-3 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Whyte earned 5.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 12 of the event schedule, Whyte did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 8th to 9th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 288.156 total points. Whyte ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 112.000 points earned so far this season.
