In their opening game, Kean defeated Cameron Bryce (Border, SCO) 7-3, then went on to lose 5-3 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Kean lost 5-1 to John Epping (Toronto, ON) where Kean responded with a 8-6 win over Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO). Kean went on to lose 6-5 against ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
