Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC) qualified for the 2023 Island Shootout playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-5 against Kyler Kleibrink (Langley, BC). of the 2023 Island Shootout in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;

Joanisse finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Joanisse lost 10-7 to Nicholas Connolly (Seattle, WA), droppimg another game, 7-4 to 's Jeff Guignard where Joanisse responded with a 7-2 win over Zane Bartlett (Victoria, BC). Joanisse won 8-6 against Paul Cseke (Victoria, BC), then won 7-6 against 's Jeff Guignard in their final qualifying round match.
