Connolly finished 4-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Connolly defeated Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC) 10-7, then went on to lose 8-1 against Kleibrink. Connolly responded with a 5-3 win over Brad Thompson (Kamloops, BC). Connolly won 6-4 against Paul Cseke (Victoria, BC), then won 5-4 against Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Connolly earned 4.250 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Island Shootout. Connolly move up 14 spots after posting a net gain of 2.304 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 120th overall with 22.531 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
