Advancing directly to the semifinals, Hirata won 6-5 over Scott Webb (Grande Prairie, AB) to advance to the championship game. of the 2023 Mile Zero Cash Spiel in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada;

Hirata finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hirata defeated Janais DeJong (Grande Prairie, AB) 7-0, then won 6-2 against Graham Powell (Grande Prairie, AB) and 5-0 against Darrel Veiner (Grande Prairie, AB). Hirata won 8-3 against Tracy Steinke (Dawson Creek, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Mile Zero Cash Spiel Championship title, Hirata earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. Hirata move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 4.875 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 42nd overall with 86.562 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
