Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB) lost 6-5 to Tyler Smith (Crapaud, PEI) in the Final of the PEI Brewing Company Cashspiel, held November 24 - 26, 2023 at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Comeau won 8-1 over Carter Small (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals

Comeau finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Comeau lost 8-7 to Tyler Harris (Charlottetown, PEI), droppimg another game, 8-7 to Phil Gorveatt (Montague, PEI) where Comeau responded with a 7-5 win over Jamie Newson (Crapaud, PEI). Comeau won 9-3 against Isaiah Dalton (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the PEI Brewing Company Cashspiel, Comeau take home 2.750 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN prize, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 165th place overall with 13.203 total points. Comeau ranks 147th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.438 points earned so far this season.
