Tyler Smith (Crapaud, PEI) won 6-5 over Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB) in the Final of the PEI Brewing Company Cashspiel, held November 24 - 26, 2023 at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Smith won 8-2 over Phil Gorveatt (Montague, PEI) in the semifinals   of the 2023 PEI Brewing Company Cashspiel in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada; 
 
Smith finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Blair Weeks (Summerside, PEI) 7-2, then went on to lose 9-3 against Carter Small (Fredericton, NB). Smith responded with a 7-2 win over Blair Jay (Summerside, PEI). Smith won 8-1 against Jack MacFadyen (Charlottetown , PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the PEI Brewing Company Cashspiel Championship title, Smith earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 123rd place overall with 23.812 total points. Smith ranks 137th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.000 points earned so far this season.
