In their opening game, Kim lost 5-4 to Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR), then responded with a 9-1 win over Hyeon Moon (Bongmyeong, KOR). Kim won 7-5 against JaeBeom Lee (Uiseong, KOR). Kim went on to lose 6-5 against ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR). Kim responded with a 7-2 win over Hakjun Kim (Chuncheon, KOR). Kim went on to lose 9-2 against Jeong. Kim lost 8-7 to Park where Kim responded with a 12-4 win over Moon in their final qualifying round match.

Kim earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Korean National Curling Championship. Kim gained 19.5 points improving upon their best 2 events, though dropped 135 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 135thplace overall with 19.500 total points. Kim ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.500 points earned so far this season.
