To advance to the championship game, Ferris won 8-2 over Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) in the semifinals of the 2023 Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 11-4 over Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NONT) in the quarterfinals.

Ferris are currently 1-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferris lost 6-4 to Fraser Reid (Waterloo, ON), droppimg another game, 8-3 to Greg Smith (St. John's , NL) where Ferris responded with a 6-5 win over Andrin Schnider (Urdorf, SUI). In their next game, Ferris plays.

For winning the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel Championship title, Ferris earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $3,800CDN first prize cheque.
