CHAMPION: Peterman/Gallant Wins 2024 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials

Jocelyn Peterman/Brett Gallant (Edmonton, AB) won 8-7 over Rachel Homan/Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials, held December 30 - January 5, 2025 in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.

Peterman/Gallant finished 7-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterman/Gallant defeated Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON) 8-6, then won 8-7 against Taylor Reese-Hansen/Corey Chester (Victoria, BC) and 7-6 against Melissa Adams/Alex Robichaud (Moncton, NB). Peterman/Gallant won 6-3 against Lisa Weagle/John Epping (Toronto, ON), then won 8-1 against Jaelyn Cotter/Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) and 5-2 against Jennifer Armstrong/Tyrel Griffith (Kelowna, BC). Peterman/Gallant won 9-6 against Kadriana Lott/Colton Lott (Winnipeg Beach, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials Championship title, Peterman/Gallant earned 52.500 world rankings points. For week 23 of the event schedule, Peterman/Gallant did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Peterman/Gallant ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
