Miori Nakamura (Aomori, JPN) won 5-2 over Natsuki Saito (Aomori, JPN) in the Final of the Tohoku Curling Championships, held December 9 - 11, 2022 in Tohoku, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Nakamura won 11-4 over Juri Ojima (Aomori, JPN) in the semifinals
Nakamura finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nakamura defeated Japan's Yuri Sakai 13-1, then won 7-5 against Toko Ohshita (Morioka, JPN) and 11-3 against Japan's Moe Sakura in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Tohoku Curling Championships Championship title, Nakamura earned 7.500 world rankings points. For week 19 of the event schedule, Nakamura did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Nakamura ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
