To advance to the championship game, Saito won 8-5 over Toko Ohshita (Morioka, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2023 Tohoku Curling Championships in Tohoku, Japan;
Saito finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Saito defeated Japan's Mizuho Kumagai 6-3, then won 11-1 against Japan's Junko Fujisawa and 12-3 against Juri Ojima (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Tohoku Curling Championships, Saito take home 5.500 world rankings points. For week 19 of the event schedule, Saito did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Saito ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
