Jacobson finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobson defeated Dustin Woloschuk (Regina, SK) 7-2, then won 5-3 against Garret Fedak (Saskatoon, SK) and 5-4 against Yanagisawa in their final qualifying round match.
