To advance to the championship game, Ackerman won 7-2 over Jolene Campbell (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Moose Jaw SaskTour Spiel in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 8-7 over Ava Beausoleil (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Moose Jaw SaskTour Spiel in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Ackerman finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ackerman defeated Amelie Blais (Saskatoon, SK) 11-5, then won 8-1 against Cindy Ricci (Regina, SK) and 5-3 against Beausoleil. Ackerman won 8-4 against Jessica Mitchell (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
