Japan's Hiroki Hara run at the 2023 Chubu Curling Championships came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-4 loss to Takanori Ichimura (Nagano, JPN). of the 2023 Chubu Curling Championships in Chubu, Japan;

In their opening game, Japan's Hiroki Hara defeated Hirotaka Ishikuro (Karuizawa, JPN) 6-2, then won 10-3 against Katsuyuki Ohara (Karuizawa, JPN). Japan's Hiroki Hara went on to lose 13-0 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Japan's Hiroki Hara responded with a 6-3 win over Japan's Takuro Yamada in their final qualifying round match.
