Yuka Takimoto (Karuizawa, JPN) lost 9-3 to Asuka Kanai (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the Chubu Curling Championships, held January 12 - 15, 2023 in Chubu, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Takimoto won 7-4 over Yuko Kikuchi (Karuizawa, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2023 Chubu Curling Championships in Chubu, Japan;

Takimoto finished 3-2 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Takimoto defeated Kikuchi 11-1, then won 10-6 against Japan's Akemi Kawahara. Takimoto went on to lose 8-5 against Kanai. Takimoto responded with a 13-1 win over Japan's Yui Miyagawa. Takimoto went on to lose 7-6 against Japan's Arina Ikeda in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Chubu Curling Championships, Takimoto take home 2.750 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Takimoto did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Takimoto ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
