Takimoto finished 3-2 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Takimoto defeated Kikuchi 11-1, then won 10-6 against Japan's Akemi Kawahara. Takimoto went on to lose 8-5 against Kanai. Takimoto responded with a 13-1 win over Japan's Yui Miyagawa. Takimoto went on to lose 7-6 against Japan's Arina Ikeda in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Chubu Curling Championships, Takimoto take home 2.750 world rankings points.
