In their opening game, Sluchinski defeated Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) 8-4, then won 12-10 against Shane Latimer (Iqaluit, NU). Sluchinski went on to lose 6-2 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). Sluchinski won 10-4 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Sluchinski went on to lose 10-4 against Brad Gushue (St.John's, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.
