Koe won 7-5 against Brad Gushue (St.John's, CAN), then won 9-2 against Shane Latimer (Iqaluit, NU). Koe went on to lose 10-2 against Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK). Koe lost 10-4 to Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) where Koe responded with a 9-8 win over Tyler Smith (Crapaud, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
