Laplante/Gibeau finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Laplante/Gibeau lost 7-5 to Campbell/Carr, then responded with a 10-2 win over Shannon Tatlock/Daryell Nowlan (Fredericton, NB). Laplante/Gibeau won 9-5 against Kendra Lister/Daniel Lister (Fredericton, NB).
