To advance to the championship game, Laplante/Gibeau won 6-5 over Melissa Adams/Alex Robichaud (Moncton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Delta Hotels by Marriott Fredericton Doubles Cashspiel in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada; and won 8-7 over Jenna Campbell/James Carr (Fredericton, NB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Delta Hotels by Marriott Fredericton Doubles Cashspiel in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada;

Laplante/Gibeau finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Laplante/Gibeau lost 7-5 to Campbell/Carr, then responded with a 10-2 win over Shannon Tatlock/Daryell Nowlan (Fredericton, NB). Laplante/Gibeau won 9-5 against Kendra Lister/Daniel Lister (Fredericton, NB). Laplante/Gibeau went on to lose 8-6 against Claudie Beaulieu/Yannick Pelletier (RiviÃ¨re-du-Loup, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
