Vanessa McConnell (Calgary, AB) finished 1-3 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McConnell lost 6-4 to Abby Marks (Edmonton, AB), droppimg another game, 7-5 to Michelle Hartwell (Sherwood Park, AB) where McConnell responded with a 4-3 win over Melissa Pierce (Edmonton , AB). McConnell went on to lose 9-6 against Marks in their final qualifying round match.

McConnell earned 0.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 19 of the event schedule, McConnell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McConnell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
