Silver finished 9-6 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Silver defeated Gary Weiss (Thunder Bay, NO) 8-3, then won 9-4 against Zach Warkentin (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver went on to lose 8-4 against Bonot. Silver responded with a 6-5 win over Ben Mikkelsen (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver went on to lose 6-4 against Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver responded with a 8-4 win over Ron Rosengren (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver won 9-0 against Andrew Sinclair (Thunder Bay, NO), then won 7-2 against Jackson Dubinsky (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver went on to lose 6-3 against Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver responded with a 5-2 win over Denis Malette (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver went on to lose 8-7 against Brian Adams Jr. (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver lost 8-1 to Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, NO) where Silver responded with a 5-2 win over Jodi Judd (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver went on to lose 8-4 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NO). Silver responded with a 6-5 win over Robyn Despins (Thunder Bay, NO) in their final qualifying round match.
